I Found A Sea Shell At The Beary Scrap

It's Summer Week at The Beary Scrap Design Team Blog and with the first day of summer just a few days ago boy it feels like it here in Connecticut. We have had 90+ weather here and the AC's are kicking it big time.
Well some people go to the beach to cool off and what do some people do when they are there look for sea shells. Well I found one this week.

For this week I made and easel/shaker card. I haven't made a shaker card in a while and this one was fun.
I really like making different shaped easel cards and believe it or not they can be really easy. I used BoBunny Double Dot paper for my card. For my shell all I did was search the net for a sea shell clip art picture and resized it to fit in a 6X6 square. I made two the same size and used thick 3M foam tape to build up the thickness. Inside my card I have used Flower Soft as my sand and added glitter to give it that sparkle and added some really small sea shells.

On the top layer of the shell I used Glimmer Mist you can almost see the sparkle in the picture and my Sco Pal to make the lines in it. Then I used the Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Circles to make my hole. I used Distressed Ink Vintage Photo to ink around the edges and added Stickles to the outside of the shell as well as to my Mulberry flowers. I added some Pearls, charms, lace and a bow to my card. I also hand stitched on the bottom.

Don't forget that there is still time to enter for our
we would love you to come play with us. Kimm has some very pretty Mulberry Flowers up for grabs to the winner.

Lil Lolita Challenge # 3 No Designer Papers

Hello all my Lil Lolita friends are we ready to play again this week.
For some this week it may be a real Challenge
No Designer Paper but you can make your own.
My cards go either way with or without designer paper so this wasn't a big challenge to me, what was a challenge trying to make this card for our challenge pull double duty as a birthday card for an older lady, but by the time I was almost done with it, it just didn't work for me as a double duty card. So she just works as our challenge card this week and I love it.

For my card I just used plain metallic paper and added ribbon stripes, I cut a window with my spellbinders and framed it out. I used glitter paper and jems to frame it. I used mulberry flowers and stickled them and added a hat pin.
I used Willow I just love her she is so cute. She was colored with Copics and I used stickles on her bows and flowers.
We would really love you to come play with us at
Lil Lolita Boutique Challenge
I'm sure you have a Lil Lolita waiting to be colored.
If not and want to get yours HERE.

Please join us this week at

I did have some Design Team projects on my desk but seeing how it's not time for them to be seen yet so I had to put them in hiding.  I hope you enjoy my little mess.
You can check out more desks here----WOYWDW

It's a color challenge this week from The Beary Scrap Design Team.
For this week I have a birthday card I made for a friend.
The birthday girl is a nurse and I'm going to show you how to change up a stamp so your can use it for more than just one theme.

Now in most cases you would expect to see a get well card with this stamp but I changed it up for a birthday.

My card recipe:
Paper Basic Grey Origins (I think I'm falling in love with the Basic Grey paper lines)
Stamp from Motivet Doraline as a nurse colored with Copics and fuzzy flock
I used lots of Stickles all over the card.
My circles were cut out with Spellbinders.
Two gift charms.
Hand stitching.

You have seen us all used these flowers on our cards now you can win your own, but if you can't wait you can order some of these Mulberry flowers from The Beary Scrap Store.

I have been slowly going to every ones blog that left a comment and taking a peek and there is some wonderful talent out there. I have started following some of the blogs I have come across. I also see that some people are not on design teams that really should be getting there talent out there, I don’t know if either some of you choose not to be on them weather it’s time or commitment but if your just afraid you may not be good enough give it a shot. The design teams are a lot of fun. Speaking of which the Lil Lolita’s are looking for a guest designer so check out the Lil Lolita's Blog for all the details. But hurry you only have till the 20th to apply.

Well for our challenge this week it’s a photo inspiration and this was our picture.

My inspiration from the picture was layers, flowers and colors. This is what I came up with.

My card recipe:
Lil Lolita Stamp - Lilith colored with Copic's and glitter

Randon Acts of Krafting ask's How do you store your supplies?

Randon Acts fo Krafting

ask's
How do you store your supplies?
Well I'm so proud of my new scraproom, OK the room is 6 months old now but  I can show off a little more of it. Here is how I store my ribbon and stickles. The ribbon is on really thin curtain rods and the stickles are attached to a clear sheet of heavy plastic and attached with velcro. If you look closed enough you can see where the screws are in the plastic that attach it to the wall. Yes my walls are orange Super Cool if I must say so myself.

Most of my other supplies are all stored in clear plastic containers so I can see it all and not have to go digging for my goodies.

If you have any questions on what I have used please ask. Thanks for looking and you can check out Random Acts of Krafting ----HERE
I can't wait to see how everyone else keeps there goodies.
